Portugal has been chosen as one of the 10must -visit tourist destinations worldwide in 2010 by Lonely Planet.
The world famous tourist guide to countries and cities has included the country in it´s "Best in Travel Guide" for next year.
Other must see countries for 2010, other than Portugal are Germany, Greece, The United States, Morocco, El Salvador, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand and Surinam.
The guide compiles, on an annual basis , the trendiest places to visiti in terms of culture, experiences and sights, in the world.
The announcement comes only 2 weeks after Portugal bagged five gongs in the World Travel Awards, with Lisbon topping the list as the best European City to visit.
The sameguide has placed Iceland as the Top Country to visit with regards to value for money and quality. In second place came Thailand followed by South Africa and then India.
