Energy performance simulator for households
Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) are being introduced to help improve the energy efficiency of buildings. To give information on how to make your home more energy efficient and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. If you are buying or selling a home you now need a certificate by law. From January 2009 EPCs will be required whenever a building is built, sold or rented out.
The certificate provides 'A' to 'G' ratings for the building, with 'A' being the most energy efficient and 'G' being the least, with the average up to now being 'D'.
The government company (ADENE) who issues the Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) have now created a web site for you to do your own simulation. Energy performance simulator for households. De acordo com o Decreto-Lei nº 78/2006 de 4 de Abril de 2006, todos os edifícios novos, independentemente da área ou fim, são a partir de Janeiro de 2009 obrigados a uma certificação de desempenho energético e a medidas de redução do consumo de energia.
O mesmo documento irá afectar todas as propriedades a ser vendidas, ou seja, para poder efectuar a venda dentro dos trâmites legais junto aos documentos da propriedade já existentes, terá de constar também o Certificado Energético.
A Agencia para a energia (ADENE) disponibilizou online um simulador de eficiência energética, o CASA+, que permite aos proprietários/utilizadores efectuar uma avaliação da sua residência em termos de eficiência energética e de impacto ecológico.
